Think Stats Exploratory Data Analysis, 2nd Edition

Think Stats: Exploratory Data Analysis, 2nd Edition by Allen B. Downey
English | October 16th, 2014 | ASIN: B00OL084UI, ISBN: 1491907339 | 226 pages | EPUB/MOBI | 17.23 MB
If you know how to program, you have the skills to turn data into knowledge, using tools of probability and statistics. This concise introduction shows you how to perform statistical analysis computationally, rather than mathematically, with programs written in Python.

By working with a single case study throughout this thoroughly revised book, you’ll learn the entire process of exploratory data analysis-from collecting data and generating statistics to identifying patterns and testing hypotheses. You’ll explore distributions, rules of probability, visualization, and many other tools and concepts.
New chapters on regression, time series analysis, survival analysis, and analytic methods will enrich your discoveries.
* Develop an understanding of probability and statistics by writing and testing code
* Run experiments to test statistical behavior, such as generating samples from several distributions
* Use simulations to understand concepts that are hard to grasp mathematically
* Import data from most sources with Python, rather than rely on data that’s cleaned and formatted for statistics tools
* Use statistical inference to answer questions about real-world data

Theoretical Physics 3 Electrodynamics

Theoretical Physics 3: Electrodynamics by Wolfgang Nolting
English | 16 July 2016 | ISBN: 331940167X | 676 Pages | EPUB | 7.75 MB
This textbook offers a clear and comprehensive introduction to electrodynamics, one of the core components of undergraduate physics courses.

This textbook offers a clear and comprehensive introduction to electrodynamics, one of the core components of undergraduate physics courses. The first part of the book describes the interaction of electric charges and magnetic moments by introducing electro- and magnetostatics. The second part of the book establishes deeper understanding of electrodynamics with the Maxwell equations, quasistationary fields and electromagnetic fields. All sections are accompanied by a detailed introduction to the math needed.
Ideally suited to undergraduate students with some grounding in classical and analytical mechanics, the book is enhanced throughout with learning features such as boxed inserts and chapter summaries, with key mathematical derivations highlighted to aid understanding. The text is supported by numerous worked examples and end of chapter problem sets.
About the Theoretical Physics series
Translated from the renowned and highly successful German editions, the eight volumes of this series cover the complete core curriculum of theoretical physics at undergraduate level. Each volume is self-contained and provides all the material necessary for the individual course topic. Numerous problems with detailed solutions support a deeper understanding. Wolfgang Nolting is famous for his refined didactical style and has been referred to as the "German Feynman" in reviews.

Theatres of Learning Disability Good, Bad, or Plain Ugly

Matt Hargrave, "Theatres of Learning Disability: Good, Bad, or Plain Ugly?"
English | 2014 | ISBN: 1349700231 | PDF | pages: 302 | 1.5 mb

The Yoga Adventure for Children Playing, Dancing, Moving, Breathing, Relaxing

Helen Purperhart – The Yoga Adventure for Children: Playing, Dancing, Moving, Breathing, Relaxing
Bang Printing | 2007 | ISBN: 0897934709, 0897934717 | English | 147 Pages | PDF | 2.28 MB

The Yoga Adventure for Children is an illustrated manual for teachers at primary schools and yoga teachers who wish to create children’s classes. Featuring 80 drawings of poses, the book playfully acquaints children with yoga stretches and postures and the philosophy behind the practice. Blending yoga, play, dance, music, drama, and drawing, the book requires very little preparation before use. Parents too can share The Yoga Adventure for Children with their child at home. Practicing yoga together offers an opportunity to both parents and the child to laugh, play, and have fun together.
Many yoga positions are inspired by animals and stimulate suppleness and strength, and all aspects of yoga are included in the games: relaxation, breathing, concentration, meditation, self-awareness, and visualization. Concepts like karma, chakra, and the elements are explained and developed without too much confusing detail. The games in this book can also be used to increase children’s concentration and self-esteem, and to stimulate them to express more creativity, imagination, and better social skills.

The Yard The Intersection of the Coach and Clinician

The Yard: The Intersection of the Coach and Clinician by Travis Jewett
English | June 7th, 2017 | ASIN: B072MP81VJ, ISBN: 152146684X | 38 pages | AZW3 | 0.59 MB
There is a shift happening. In the world of training it is becoming more and more important a coach and clinician can speak the same language and work along the same continuum.

The future will continue to amplify this need. As a clinician it is important you understand the basics of strength and conditioning and how it can apply in a patient care setting to improve outcomes and accelerate recovery. As a coach you need to understand how to see things like a clinician to cut off problems before they rear their ugly head. The ability to wear both hats will pay in spades.

The WTO and Food Security Implications for Developing Countries

The WTO and Food Security: Implications for Developing Countries by Sachin Kumar Sharma
English | 2016 | ISBN: 9811021783 | 218 Pages | PDF | 6.5 MB
This book examines the public stockholding policies of selected developing countries from the perspective of WTO rules and assesses whether the provisions of the Agreement on Agriculture (AoA) could hamper these countries’ efforts to address the challenges of food security.

This book examines the public stockholding policies of selected developing countries from the perspective of WTO rules and assesses whether the provisions of the Agreement on Agriculture (AoA) could hamper these countries’ efforts to address the challenges of food security. Further, it highlights the need to amend the provisions of the AoA to make WTO rules just and fair for the millions of people suffering from hunger and malnutrition in developing countries. This book highlights that 12 countries namely China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Morocco, Pakistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Zambia and Zimbabwe are facing or will face problems in implementing the food security policies due to the provisions under AoA. These provisions need to be amended for permitting developing countries to address hunger and undernourishment. Progress in WTO negotiations on public stockholding for food security purposes are also discussed and analysed. The findings of this study greatly benefit trade negotiators, policymakers, civil society, farmers groups, researchers, students and academics interested in issues related to the WTO, agriculture and food security.
